Water Feature Mechanical Design

Water features come in all forms, from simple rock formations with a trickling waterfall to an interactive swirling metal masterpiece, spewing water in random directions. If you can imagine it, Aqua Engineering can engineer it. We specialize in meshing the artistic aspects of water features with appropriate engineering concerns of long-term operation, management, and annual water and power costs.

We work closely with architects, landscape architects, artists, sculptors, and designers to successfully create fountains, weirs, runnels, jets, waterfalls, reflecting pools, reservoirs, and other water displays that present the desired visual effect.

Sound effect can also be an essential element in engineering water features. Some venues have subtle water sounds to calm visitors; other venues, such as office buildings on busy street corners, use the sound of rushing water to drown out the noise created by traffic. Ultimately, the sound of water can be just as important as its appearance, and Aqua Engineering closely considers both elements in the design process.
