Southeast Corridor Expansion T-REX

A design-build multi-modal transportation project was initiated in partnership with Kiewit and Parsons Transportation Group.  The project included all project management, planning, coordination and design of irrigation systems for approximately 17 miles of highway landscaping for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), and 14 Regional Transportation District (RTD) Light Rail Stations. The irrigation systems are managed using centralized control equipped with flow and rain sensors.

Work also included the design of streetscape irrigation systems for the City and County of Denver and City of Centennial municipalities. Irrigation design-build of the entire project was coordinated with four different landscape architectural firms and one major landscape contractor to produce over 275 plan and detail sheets.  The irrigation design features bubbler irrigated trees, shrubs, and groundcovers as well as spray irrigated annual flowerbeds, and sprinkler irrigated turf areas.
