Idaho Creek

Raw water from the Rural Ditch is used at Idaho Creek PUD in Longmont, Colorado for the irrigation of all the common landscape and the landscapes of 354 individual home sites. The use of this alternative raw water supply reduces the demand on the potable water supplied by the Left Hand Water District.

Aqua Engineering calculated the capacity required for storage, and designed the infrastructure required to distribute the raw water to the common space and individual lots including the irrigation pump station and distribution piping.

In addition, a USBR check structure was designed for the Rural Ditch, along with a headgate and lift pump station to divert water from the Rural Ditch to the on site irrigation storage pond. All drawings were reviewed and approved by the Left Hand Water District and the Rural Ditch.
