Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones II, Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville is home to the University of Arkansas Razorback golf teams. Aqua Engineering was contracted to provide irrigation engineering services for this challenging course.

Sixty irrigated acres of golf course and clubhouse area comprise the club.  Aqua Engineering’s design includes a fully automated irrigation system using single station control for all valve-in-head sprinklers, a fertilizer injection system, and a central control system. The course features a variety of elevations, a challenge that led our engineers to design two new pump stations servicing high and low pressure zones. The course is partially irrigated from runoff water from the parking lot; our engineers specified an aeration system to maintain a high level of water quality.

The golf course fairways and tees are constructed using a sand cap, representing another design challenge. Our engineers designed the irrigation system to compliment and allow for proper management of the turf grass in the sand capped portion of the course.
